Develop a dental education program for schools in rural Perú
One of the most pressing problems in Peru is the lack of awareness about dental hygiene, meaning that brushing your teeth is not necessarily a common practice. This is often due to the parents’ lack of knowledge about its importance and consequences.
Three years ago, the Peruvian government stationed a dental practitioner in every public school located in rural areas, where help is most needed. However, one dentist is not enough to improve this large-scale issue, as there are roughly 1000 students in each one of these schools.
This is why CarismaPeru is searching for committed dental practitioners and hygienists to help us combat this problem.
